Books

Okay, so I'm back. It has been really hard to think of things to say, and even harder to find the time to say them, but it's time to start writing again.

So, this last week I've been re-reading the Da Vinci Code.
And, not only that, I've really been enjoying it.

However, I'll be reading the last chapter on my bus ride home tonight and I have no idea what to read next.

I guess the obvious next step would be to finish reading all of Dan Brown's books, but there are such a limited number of them I don't want to exhaust that literary well too soon.

Does anyone have any good book suggestions? Something adventurish would be good, with complex plots and conspiracies and secret organizations. Those are the kinds of things that interest me. I'd really rather not read any books about kids in Somalia or somewhere being tortured and killed. Or anything on Oprah's list. And fictional books about Nephites frustrate me (I hate to see writers getting rich off of people's religious fanaticism).

Any suggestions?

I feel the same way about books about kids in Somalia. I don't like to read anything that says "poignant" or "a heart-wrending tale" on the cover. Have you read The Sign of Four (Ian Caldwell?) or The Eight (don't know author)? You could try the Jason Bourne books or maybe even the books based on the show 24 on Fox. I've been reading Janet Evanovich, but I'm not sure I can recommend her unless you are okay with the F-bomb and casual sex.

I only read my scriptures.

Katie is obnoxious and she has a hard time telling the truth...hence I don't really think she is reading her scriptures! You NEVER take any of my suggestions, so I won't make any! I'm curious too, are you ok with casual sex?? Just checking:)

I thought of another book you might like. It's called Fallen Idols. It's about theft of ancient artifacts. Can't remember the author, but I could find it.
